Our Mission Statement

     Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the health and well-being of GLBT persons and their families through SUPPORT, to cope with an adverse society; through EDUCATION, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and through ADVOCACY, to end discrimination and to secure fair and equal civil rights.  PFLAG provides the opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

                    We Support Family

     While we realize some people struggle more than others, we support each other along our journey, towards loving, understanding and accepting our GLBT family members and friends.

We Advocate Equal Rights 

     We advocate equal rights-not special rights-for our GLBT loved ones.  We understand that the most productive way to effect change is through public advocacy.

A Family Affair

A Family Affair is a 13- movement, 45 minute song cycle entitled, “This House Shall Stand: Songs of Our Family”. The piece was commissioned two years ago by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, and speaks eloquently to the diversity of families. Please join us for this beautiful program if you can. A reception with refreshments will be held immediately following the concert.
Open to the public.

Admission free. Donations accepted.
